NewsView Pro app for iPhone and iPad

NewsView is an application platform developed by Geography for Tomorrow Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that aims to provide a unique and interactive way to digest the latest news events happening around the world. One of the foremost goals that we had in developing this app was to enable youth, especially students in the classroom, to envision and learn about current events as they occur. The app itself synthesizes the latest news from sources such as The New York Times, BBC, and National Geographic. Then, based on the location that each news item references, the article is placed on the world map. Whether you are looking to gain a visual digest of the days news or want to have your kids/students gain an understanding of global issues, NewsView is the app for you.

Note on updates: News Topic Search and Article Clusters (multiple articles that are based at the same location) are features currently being implemented by the development team. Location services are currently being optimized for iOS.

Note on accessibility: The news synthesized by this application comes from The New York Times, The Associated Press, and similar sources and thus adheres to the highest standards of appropriateness and credibility. However, we understand that some news items might be inappropriate for some audiences (ex. depicting overt violence), and we try our best to eliminate them from our news database.
